Data Deletion Policy

This explains how to delete your EMOTomo data, what we remove, and what we may keep for a limited time. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Your deletion options
- Delete a single message — from the in-chat message menu.
- Clear a conversation — removes the messages in that conversation from your view and from the AI's context.
- Delete your account — in account settings. This removes your account and associated chat and memory data (see §2).
- Export your data — you can export your conversations before deleting.
2. What account deletion removes
When you delete your account, we delete your account record and profile, and we remove your conversations, messages, and the long-term "memory" facts associated with your account, along with related session logs and reports.
3. What may be retained, and for how long
Some copies persist briefly after deletion:
- Short-term caches used to run the service expire automatically (within roughly 24 hours).
- Encrypted backups rotate out on our normal schedule.
- Records we must keep for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention reasons (for example, billing records) are retained only as long as required.
- Content already sent to third-party AI/voice providers to generate responses is handled under their terms — see Processors.
We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days.
4. How to request deletion
Use the in-app "Delete account" control, or email admin@emotomoai.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
5. Requests we handle manually
Where automated deletion does not yet cover a specific record type, our team completes the removal manually as part of your request.
