Age Policy (18+)

1. Minimum age

EMOTomo is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using EMOTomo you confirm you meet this requirement and that any age information you provide is accurate.

2. Age confirmation before use

Before you can use the chat, we ask you to confirm that you are 18 or older. We show an age confirmation when you first arrive, ask your age during onboarding, and include an 18+ confirmation at sign-up. We do not pre-tick any confirmation for you — you must actively confirm.

3. If you indicate you are under 18

If you decline the age confirmation or tell us you are under 18, we block access to the service on that device and do not let you continue to chat.

4. How we record confirmation

For visitors who are not signed in, your age confirmation is stored on your device. For signed-in users, we also record that you confirmed you are 18+ together with the version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you acknowledged, so we have a record of consent.

5. Age assurance limits

Our age confirmation is a self-declaration, which is a common approach for 18+ services. It is not a guarantee of identity.

6. If we learn a user is under 18

If we discover that someone under 18 is using EMOTomo, we will suspend or terminate the account and delete associated data in line with our Data Deletion Policy.
